InstaRecon has developed and commercialized a suite of patented and patent-pending algorithms invented at the University of Illinois, which reconstruct images from 2D and 3D tomographic data 20 to 100 times faster than conventional methods for typical image sizes. The technology has been developed for both purely software-based and hardware-accelerated solutions. Our current software offering is a image reconstruction engine for Micro-CT applications, and is compatible with the Microsoft® Windows Vista®, Windows 7, and Windows 8 operating systems. Applications for this technology exist in other areas such as medical imaging (CT, PET, SPECT, MRI), bio-medical imaging (micro-CT), security (CT luggage scanners), and industrial manufacturing (NDE).
